This position is a Private Events Sales Manager role for Legal Sea Foods and will be a part of the larger Private Event Sales team. Focused on a subset of restaurants, this manager will work with the Regional Director to devise and execute strategy for all aspects of event sales for their assigned restaurants.

This role is responsible for selling all aspects of private events held within our restaurants to include social, corporate and other market segments, developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

The primary function of this role is to drive revenue by prospecting and fostering relationships with individuals and corporations for all the venues.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sell and execute private events in total by negotiating, executing the contract, making food and beverage offerings, and supervising the success of the event for each guest/client.
  • Working with local team leadership to understand unit nuances and goals; Communicate with local Operational leaders to effectively ensure client's needs and expectations are exceeded.
  • Respond to the needs of clients by conducting research and communicating how restaurant locations and menus best fit the needs of the guest.
  • Incumbent is expected to independently develop account plans and strategies and then make independent decisions in answering questions and explaining how a facility and menu will benefit the prospective client.
  • Utilize discretion and independent judgment to decide how best to develop and engage with potential clients and have the responsibility to analyze information gleaned from the sales process to create plans and solutions.
  • Promote the restaurants by, among other things: conducting site visits with accounts and prospective accounts; researching and pursuing leads for new business; networking with civic and other organizations; strengthening relationships with past or existing accounts; developing and strengthening relationships across PPX Hospitality Brands, becoming familiar with the territory and the competition, networking with past and existing accounts in order to do business with them in the future; making outside sales visits; cold calling; and otherwise introducing to the public the restaurants and their private event facilities.

Skills:

  • Both Sales and Hospitality experience preferred
  • At least two years’ experience of Catering/Private Events sales preferred.
  • Solid understanding of event revenue generation.
  • Proven track record of sales performance, and prospecting programs that drive event revenue.
  • Employees in this position must be able to work independently to develop account plans and strategies and then make independent decisions.
  • This position requires time spent in restaurants, time spent pursuing sales leads and office time managing event details with and for clients. Involves some local travel to restaurants, hotels, events, trade organizations and client sites.
  • Employees in this position must thrive in an autonomous and creative environment with very little supervision.
  • Requires excellent communication and organization skills.
  • College Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Marketing preferred.

Total Compensation: Salary plus Commission $90K-100K

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,921.97 - $102,918.97 per year
